I am a Shoe collector that focuses mostly on Exclusive shoes from Jordans To Air Maxs To Bapes.

I would like to share what I know about Bapestas

Ways to spot fake Bapestas are:

1. Mis-shapes of the star. On the fake ones the cutting will be really bad and the stitching will be really bad. here are pictures of the fake and real stars.  The pictures are kind of small but where the 2 is on the fake is representation of bad stitching. its not straight its crooked at parts.

Notice the difference in the cuts between the first picture compared to the second/third picture? Bapestas currently have the old star and the new star which is two different cuts but both are authentic.

2. The second way to spot fakes is the insole. REAL bapes have the BapeSta going one direction while the other shoe has it goign to the opposite direction. Fakes have both BapeStas in both shoes going the same direction.

3. Third way to spot fakes is the embroidery on the back of the shoe. Real bapestas will have NEAT hand stitched embroidery. Fake ones will have sloppy bad stitching on the back.

4. The Box. if the box doesnt close properly. its fake if it doesnt form a perfect rectangle its fake. Real boxes have good quality cardboard.

Hopfully this guide helps for all you new Sneaker Heads that are just starting to collect Exclusive shoes.

Things to note are always: Colour, Shape if you look at half the fake jordans they're always deformed in some way. REAL JORDANS will NEVER be deformed. and last look always at details. compare to pictures of authentic shoes provided on www.issforums.com or www.niketalk.com or even from nikes website or Bapes website especially if there new releases.
