Just concluded a nightmirrorish experience with Bigbandbassman who is a buyer out of Wisconsin in the USA.

Buyer bid and won a copier toner cartridge from me on May 5, 2009.

The USPS increased the postal rates recently and I neglected to place the right postage on his order. The parcel was returned to me on May 13, 2009. The very same day, bigbandbassman sent me a message asking when he would recieve the item. I advised him on sunday morning that I would send it to Priority Mail on monday at my expense as it was my error.

Well, Monday comes around and after I had emailed Bigbandbassman 3 times advising him I would get it right out to him via priotity mail, at my expence with a boat load of appologies from me, Bigbanbassman accused me of being non responsive and filed a non reciept claim with paypal (this is now all of 14 days / 10 business days and severall emails have passed.)

Paypal reversed the  payment out of my account. I again contacted Bigbandbassman and again appologised but also informed him that I was not "GIVING' him this item for free. Here's where the extortion starts. Quote "If you do not ship this week, I will leave negative feedback and reference those people who had the same problem with you last year.  Just get it shipped and I will make sure you are paid.  Stop making excuses and hold up your end of the deal.  Be a good ebayer!  Do what you agreed to do when you listed this item for sale."

Well, I shipped the item without payment and never heard from Bigbandbassman again, Until Paypal forced him to pay me. 5 days after reciept of the item, Bigbandbassman now claims that the item was used, not new (It was BRAND NEW I might ad.)

So, he followed thru, 8 Days after receiving the Item, and with no more recourse to steal from me, he has left a crushing negitive feedback on my account.

I offered to cancle the transaction when I recieved the item back from the postal service in may (Which he never responded to) I offered to ship priority mail at my expense (which he never responded to.) All of his threatening communications came outside of ebay so he can't be held accountable by them. I think he's done this before. His feedback is 100% and the comments are rediculous, over the top and almost laughable.

Beware, Sellers can't leave negitive feed back for buyers anymore on ebay so these people can act with impunity. If you have any simular issues with Bigbandbassman Please report his extortion to ebay and paypal as I have. As long as he communicates via email and not ebay, he can say what ever he wants but ebay told me that  if they receive more reports on him, they will suspend him. As it is, they are investigating.

I suggest that you hide your email address when dealing with buyers so they HAVE to communicate thru ebay and so ebay has a record of the conversation.
