With the worldwide marketplace becoming more and more innondated with fakes, forgeries, counterfeits and such, it is nice to find a place that you can connect directly with an expert in a specific category area to give you their opinion about the authenticity of an ongoing auction.  This company has been doing online appraisals for over 6 years now and eBay has been sending customers their way for over 4 years.  They have now launched an eBay Opinion which allows you to input the ID of an auction and get a fast opinion from an expert regarding the authenticity of the item up for sale.  They can't guarantee that the item is genuine, but they can almost always spot a fake.  They are linked from eBay's Opinion, Authentication and Grading section:
