Hi, and thanks for reading my guide.  This is an opinion of a seller who wants to be treated just like you.  When we buy something, whether at the store, or on line, I think we all want the same thing.  To be greeted, to be looked in the eye, to be treated courteously, and to be thanked.  At least that's what I want.  Of course, some of that can't be done in on-line sales.

But , I always try to remember to greet my Listing Readers, my potential customers, and to thank them for looking, and hopefully for buying.  Then, when I do sell something, I make sure it's clean and neat, and I pack it well.  You can check my feedback to see how I'm doing.

What makes me mad, is when I see another Seller, selling the same or similar product, and listing  it at a ridiculously low Buy It Now price of .01 cent, or .99 cents.  Then, charging an outrageous amount like $15 for shipping.  For one thing, this low ball price puts their ad high up in the results page when a buyer sorts by low price first.  This gives them an unfair and undeserved advantage over honest sellers. It's not just a clever marketing strategy, it's dishonest.

Now, there is nothing wrong  starting out an auction for .01 cent or .99 cents, that's what I believe ebay wants, that's what an auction is about, a low bid, going up.   But if you have an auction for that amount, your shipping should still be fair and reasonable.

Ebay, is beginning to clamp down on excessive shipping.  It is going to be a difficult thing to police.  But hopefully it can be done.

Remember this.  If the seller has a very low Buy It Now price of .01cent, or .99cents, or even any very low dollar amount that you know is unreasonably low for the item that you are interested in.  Beware, don't fall into that trap.  If you are not satisfied with the item, and want to return it according to the Sellers Return Policy, they will cheerfully refund you the low item price, but they will not return the high shipping price that you paid.

Even if the combination of item price and shipping price seems like a good deal.  They will get you on the return of the item, if you are not satisfied.

I hope I put my thoughts here in a manner that was easy to understand, I hope that this was helpful to Buyers, especially new Buyers, and I thank you for taking the time to read this.
