What's Hot & What's Not For Spring 2008
Spring has sprung. The grass is rizz. I wonder what the new fashions is....
We have your answers. Our experts have analyzed the top selling European clothing lines and determined the newest & hottest trends for Spring 2008. Here are some simple tips for making your tot the best dressed on the block!
Stock up on BRIGHT Mismatched Colors- The brighter, the better. Think purple & red, pink & green, yellow & orange. Whatever you think doesn't work, probably does. Play contrasting colors against one another. But don't overdo it. Two bright, contrasting colors are enough. Try to use neutral colors to maintain balance. This shirt by Jaff Oink Baby is a great example.
Pack Up: Blacks, navy blues, & dark greens. Darker colors are naturally better for colder seasons.
Flowers, flowers, EVERYWHERE: Girls & boys alike are enjoying tons of floral patterns this season. Spring is the season for rebirth & growth and flowers are back bigtime. We love this top by Replay & Sons great vintage inspired floral top for boys.
While you are adding all these great florals to your kids wardrobe, you may want to weed out those camoflage prints that were so popular last season. We think that they should go back where they belong - to the army.
Sew It Up: Patchwork is everywhere this Spring. From Oilily to Mossimo everyone is jumping on the hippie style patchwork. Anything goes for this great trend. Our choice as the BEST BUY of the season is this adorable tank top by Cherokee.
Tear It Up: Metallic - Silver, gold, bronze....those harsh fabrics can go to make room for the soft patchworks which are much more flattering.
Keeping with the trends, we also saw lots of layering, peasant tops, big patterns, mixed prints, empire waists.
What we didn't see: skirts (stronger nod towards dresses this season), low rise pants (more fitted & flattering), or skulls.
This Spring is sure to be another exciting time for fashion & trends.
