Etopps began in the year 2000. It is a brand of Topps trading cards that are sold only through the web site etopps.com. Once a card is purchased from Etopps it goes into a persons online portfolio with direct links to listing it on Ebay. This is why nearly all Etopps auctions look the same. Those that do look different are typically from individuals that claimed the cards from Etopps and are selling them "in hand."
Etopps are awesome sport cards. They come uncirculated from Topps and encased in a thick holder something like Becketts or PSA's grading service would offer. There are some things you should know about Etopps cards. The exact number printed is available at etopps.com or cardtarget.com. This kind of information is not normally out there for cards that are not serial numbered - some eTopps cards are serial numbered but not very many. (they did it one year but not each of the previous years).
Oddly some eTopps cards are worth more simply because they are scarce, accumulated by speculators \ fans, and the market on some appears to be cornered.
When you buy a card from eBay that is in portfolio (not in hand) the seller simply transfers it too you. There is no handling fee, no shipping costs, and this saves the seller and you money and time. You do need an account at etopps.com to claim the transferred card into your port, and if you want to hold the card you have to pay Etopps for the shipping - it is expensive.
