Ethernet Switches / Router .. Do not toss out your old ethernet switch / Router try this simple trick that could save you money.

if you are experiencing an intermittent to NO connection on your ethernet switch / Router. you may experiencing a simple "no contact " on the ethernet cables and the Ethernet switch

• unplug power
• clean the contacts on the ethernet switch / router with a "ink pen eraser" ( a little more abrasive than regular eraser)
• blow away residue ( use goggles to protect eyes)
• after cleaning wipe it with alcohol
• re-connect all cables then power up

this should help out extending the ethernet switch / router life
