Epoch Jeans- A Guide to Epoch Jeans & Fashion
2003 saw a new arrival in the world of denim couture: Epoch Jeans. Epoch was started by Danielle Bunnell, a former fit model for a number of upscale denim brands. Bunnell is the true creative head for this line, overseeing every aspect of design and production from fit to pattern making, construction to marketing.
Epoch jeans have a number of unique fits and washes. The Sailor Jean, for example, has a low rise and flare leg, but is unique because of its two exposed button fly panels that run symmetrically down the front over each leg, instead of one panel in the front. Not only does this have a slimming effect, but it also allows the jeans to sit flat against your body instead of having a bulky fly that may cause your top to bulge.
Another style of Epoch Jeans that features a flare leg is the X-Pocket jeans. Like many jeans, the X-Pocket is a five pocket jean, but it gets its name from the criss-cross design on the back pockets. These low rise jeans are available in many shades of denim, including vintage, dark antique, and dark vintage.
Adding another feminine aspect to their jeans, Epoch also offers flare leg jeans that have a peacock embroidered on the back pocket. Other designs by Epoch Jeans incorporate floral embroidery onto the back pocket for a pretty detailed touch. While many of their jeans are cut to hug the body, their Karma boy cut jeans offer a more relaxed fit.
