In this guide, I will discuss the results I am seeing.

I used the Epila Laser on June 10th, 2006.  I believe I had finally gotten the hang of using it by then, so I consider this my first correct treatment.  At that time, I treated the unwanted hairs on my chin, upper lip, eyebrows and left underarm.  As I have mentioned in previous guides, I'm treating only one underarm so that I can see a good comparison.

If you have read my previous guides, you know that I burned the skin under my left eyebrow on June 10th.  I created a tiny blister which popped, leaving a very small open sore.  That sore healed very quickly and, now, I must look very closely to see a slightly pink scar which I am certain will fade.  I have had no further complications in that area.  Just be warned: it IS possible to cause injury with this product.  Please consider your own skin characteristics, health and healing ability before use.

On to regrowth.

I have a variety of unwanted hair types on my chin:  thick black hairs, fine black hairs and thick white hairs.  The hairs on my upper lip are mostly fine, with two or three thicker hairs on each side.  I believe the hairs in my eyebrows are somewhat finer than average.  My underarm hair is typical.

Chin:  As of today, the thick, black hairs are all quite happily regrowing.  I plan to zap them again today.  I know they are in the proper stage for treatment, the growth stage, because I zapped and plucked them about two weeks ago.  The finer dark hairs on my chin have NOT yet reappeared.  I will update if they do begin to grow again.  White hairs are not affected by laser treatment.

Upper lip:  As of today, only ONE of the thicker hairs is regrowing.  I will zap it again!

Eyebrows:  I estimate that approximately 50% of the hairs I zapped are regrowing.  If I can figure out how to cut those hairs off right at skin level to avoid another burn, I will zap them again today, with hubby's help to avoid injury.

Underarm:  Hubby did the work in this area for me, as I do not have a direct line of sight.  Bless him!  Most of the hair has regrown on the treated side, however, I did notice that it took considerably longer to do so than on the untreated side.  If hubby is up to it, we'll do another round of zapping this evening.  It's easiest to do this with me lying on my side on the couch, watching TV, with my arm resting over my head on the arm of the couch.  He sits on a footstool beside me and zaps away.  (I know, he's a gem!)

So, I am optimistic!  I believe I am seeing some positive results.  I don't want to get anyone too excited, but it certainly is looking good so far.  I will continue to write about my experiences and results, so if you would like more information before you commit to buy this product, please stay tuned.
