Are you having trouble getting motivated to sell? Maybe what you are selling isn't something you like or know anything about. Are you only selling the item because it is the cool thing to do or it is the HOT item of the day according to statistics? I think you might be going in the wrong direction. Listen to your gut!

What is it that you really love? Get on this website and do some research about it. Ask some of the members on Ebay what they think of your idea for a product you want to sell. Get some opinions and read all you can about the item. Look at the auctions and see if items in this category are selling.

I asked a question about a particular idea I had and the feedback got me focused and enthused! I can now develop my thoughts and write up a plan. Make sure you write down some goals. How much do you want to make selling on Ebay? How many items do you think you could make or purchase or find in this category to sell on Ebay each week? What would the fees be to list and ship the item? Figure the expenses and then set the price for your auction.

Don't expect to get rich quick here. It takes a long time to grow a business or make a profit in sales. Build a good reputation with the few sales you are taking care of right now and go from there. Don't quit your day job and stop spending so much time in front of t.v., on your cell phone texing, or playing games with your WEE. I am not that up on all the technology stuff but I think that is what so many of us are doing these days to take up all our time where we could be more productive.

I am just starting out here on Ebay but I have been a small business owner for over 30 years. I am an entrepreneur at heart and love the marketing part about all my business ventures. For that, I think I can share much experience. If you see what I have to sell here you will not find anything because I am moving. You can do anything if you have the enthusiasm behind the idea. If not, you might need to look in a different direction. Don't listen to what others think you should be doing. Listen to where you want to go. Where do you feel you are being pulled? Everytime you get a great feeling inside about a particular thing that is happening to you it is something inside that is telling you to follow. Each little step we make brings a new opportunity closer to where we should be to be truly happy and successful.
