This is in response to your email below to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requesting information on pumps and tubing.
These tubes and accessories are indeed regulated as medical devices by the FDA.
FDA's recommendations for buying and selling medical devices on EBay can be found on our web site at (I cannot leave the website info due to eBays policy) If you have any further questions, feel free to write me back directly. I hope this information is helpful.

If sellers aren't listing these devices in the Business & Industrial along with the proper wording for Medical Devices, you should be leary. Sellers of these items are also supposed to supply their Name/Name of Company, Address, Phone Number along with the FDA's required wording. Along with this the tubing that is sold for these items should be delivered in a Non-Expired State and Sellers should be listing the expiration dates on their listings, unless they like getting a lot of questions.
FDA information may be found on eBay by clicking Site Map in the upper right hand corner of the page and then clicking on Find a Member down about 10 lines on the right. You will have to type in USFDA to get to their member page.
