Dear Ebayers
To win or sell through Ebay can be exciting: winning a competitive listing in the last seconds is quite thrilling; selling at the right price satisfying; getting thoughtful feedback almost embarassing to the self -conscious. Ebay gives anyone an opportunity to be successful in trading, the system is designed to be sympathetic, helping everyone to complete and compete in trading. Ebay encourages a near unbelievable range of items for auction or sale, from haunted teddy bears to parts of fighter bombers but there is also a massive quantity of useable or desireable goods. In general, everyone can enjoy the experience being involved, but there are those who abuse the good in the system and even though Ebay implement the best methods to protect the innocent, Ebayers still have to be vigilant: read the listings carefully; check the sellers or buyers feedback; use your gut feelings, bargains are usually the norm, but some listings can appear too much of a bargain, what do you do? Steer clear. For sellers non paying, time wasters are an annoyance, for buyers or sellers con-artists are thieves and can cause great upset. Paypal help a great deal to limit the impact of bogus operators, but again your vigilance is imperitive to curb disappointment. I try to avoid paying by other means unless I have traded with the person before and again wait for cheques to clear before despatch. Whether buying or selling, my experiences meeting people during collections have been really good and most postal exchanges have gone really well: surprised at the speed of some traders; helpful attitudes in communications and the general satisfaction of getting something I didn't know I needed. I hope you are careful in your dealings and find the experience of trading enjoyable as I have.
Best Wishes
