Every time we go to the emergency room or doctors , they of course ask about medicines and their dosage. Who can remember them all? I know I could not. So this idea came to me and is so simple and saves so much worry at a time when all you went to do is care for your loved ones. Who can remember to grab all those bottles and inhalers? This is a great life saver because it save valuable time in starting treatment. What is the statement an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure? True, very true.
We have a senior citizen in our family who take a lot a medications. Here is 2 helpful tips that we find invaluable.
Our senior takes a good many trips to the Doctors and hospital and takes a lot of medications. I took all the medications, dosage, and times daily used. I placed them on a buiness card and date the bottom. Then on the reverse side I listed all physicians and their telephone number. I give one of these cards to every member of the family to carry in their wallet and the staff at Doctor's office and emergency rooms are entirely grateful. There are no mistakes on dosage, milligrams or names of drugs for that patient.
In order to keep track of all of the pills we use a pill tray with 4 different slots for breakfast, lunch, dinner and night. This helps to avoid forgetting what needs to be taken or what was not. Not only does it help you to keep track but this system also lets you know when medicine pills need re ordered.
