A former friend of mine bought an autographed Elvis 8x10 photo from one of the 'Memphis Mafia' - these are the
has-beens that used to be bodyguards/janitors/bellmen/errand boys for Elvis in his life. Most of them haven't had
any real work since. He paid $350.
He took the photo to an appraiser - and was told the Kodak paper the picture was printed on was manufactured
beginning in the mid-80's, long after Elvis had died. The signature was a fake.
Look real closely at the sellers on these items - do they look like sincere fans or collectors??? Or just conmen?
