After collecting records for 31 years, and being an avid elvis fan, ive come to discover, that the gi blues, wooden heart sticker has not only been booted,, but has been making ebay sellers, thousands of dollars, in the last ten years,,, Heres the low down,, After many years of listening to people, mainly other elvis collecters, about the differance in these very elusive stickers,,, i thought id look into it, This whether you like it or not is simply the truth,,,About 7 years ago, i saw a run of this so called rare sticker on ebay,,,, They were mainly being sold, every 3-4 months apart, by a seller, who sells nothing but elvis,,, it seemed like 3 times a year, this guy had a near mint copy of gi blues with the sticker????? It was then,, i looked else where for it,,, What i found was a totally different sticker,,,, The original, is always more beat up,, never, ever near mint, and, the sticker, if you compare them, are quite different, This seller, had one up about 7 monthes ago,, I informed him, it appeared to be a boot, And explained, how i knew this,,, now, i never said this seller booted this, i simply implied, it was a boot, He went on to sell it for over $300, then,, was not heard of for over 6 months,,,, He later returned, with another mega. rare sale,,,, AHHHH, but this time, he had what HE, called a real gi blues wooden heart sticker!!!!!, This guy,,,, went on,,,, in his auction,,, describing, all the differances,,, between, a boot, and a real one,,, All the info,, i sent him,,, he made sound like his own!!!!! Like after years of selling boots of this,,, Hes gonna act like some expert,,, That being said,,, Heres the differance, The boot, has a much deeper cut in the middel, at the top, also, it has a totally different red color,,, almost a pop cicle red color, the lpm, lsp, # at the bottom, is very thin, compared to the thicker block style printing, of the original,,,, Also, look for the sticker, to almost always, look mint,,,, And the larger, lettering, is always somewhat tilted to the right,,,, Hope this helps,,,, And yes ive pictures for proof, of the differant stickers, Note, this sticker was printed, for a very short run, in 1960, and never again,,,, So, dont let some seller tell you different,
