This time of year people lose their marbles. If you have to pay three times more than retail for a toy when you can wait till the day after Christmas to get it is just absurd.
People are frantically trying to find the toys that are the hardest to find just because they are the hardest to find. And the kids are so overwhelmed on Christmas Day that they don't have the time to play with each toy for more than a few minutes. They go from one thing to the next and hardly enjoy anything.
I remember to this day one Christmas we got a TV. It was the only thing I had 8 siblings. Do you think we were happy? You bet we were. We didn't need 20 or 30 toys. We had a TV ( and it was used too).
I think we need to take a step back and develop some traditions with our kids that they are going to fondly remember when they grow and have their own children.
Forget the HOT toys this year, and don't make yourself crazy.
