As a Licensed Authorized Elkay dealer, we decided to write up this guild to help eBay customers on the difference in selection for Elkay Lustertone Undermount sinks.

There are basically 5 groups to divide these sinks into.

1. Single bowl sinks
2. Single bowl sinks with a reveal
3. Double bowl sinks
4. Triple bowl sinks
5. Front apron sinks

For every sink in group one, there is a sink in group two. What is a reveal? A reveal is shiny area around the top of the sink. When mounting and making a cutout for a single bowl sink, you have 2 options. You can either make the cutout directly above the sides of the sink or make the cutout ½” inch away from the sides of the sink so the top part of the sink is shown. The sinks with a reveal come with an extra ½” inch around the sinks rim to accommodate the cutout.

Any single bowl sink that DOES have a reveal starts with the letters ‘ELUH’. If a sink does not have a reveal, the model drops the ‘H’ and only starts with an ‘ELU’.

All sinks in group 3, 4, and 5 come with a reveal. You would make the cutout for them ½” inch from the sides of the sink.

If you are getting 2 sinks, one double bowl and one single bowl, I recommend getting a single bowl sink WITH a reveal so you can match the way they are cutout.

Elkay’s sinks come in different sizes and shapes. The numbers in an Elkay model number are the approximate size of the sink.
