This is an eight-piece set of plates featuring images by noted artist Ed Totten who lives in a fly-fishing paradise in southwestern Montana. Among his awards, Totten has twice been named "Artist of the Year" by Trout Unlimited. The images go right to the very edge of the media and have a name plate in the image at the bottom identifying the subject. The set is unusual in that the plate shape is oval with a width of 8 1/2" by 6 1/2". The plates stands 1" high. The plates are individually boxed and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The series began in 1994 with six releases and ended in 1995 with two releases. By subscription, the plates originally sold for $39.90 to $49.90, the entire set costing $364.20. The plates are not for food service. The Bradex number is included beside the name.

The vast majority of owners do not want to part with this set. You may have to wait a while for an individual piece but that adds to your personal value when you bring it in. If a complete set is offered for sale, you may expect to see a premium price as the seller wants to be compensated for assembling the entire collection. Be patient.
This set is not for your Victorian parlor. But, if you are fortunate to have an outdoors-themed room or want to create that feeling, this is the set for you. Beautiful colors featuring the fish in fabulous settings, these are truly a spendid set!
I am not a dealer and I do not sell.
