I use this in most of my planted tanks and the tanks are crystal clear within a day.  Just pour the substrate right and and you are ready to start adding your fish and freshwater plants.  Much less hassle then flourite and requires no rinsing which takes hours on larger tanks using comparable aquarium gravel  This is Black in color so it will really make your plants and fish stand out.  Through some cherry shimp in there and you have a stunning set up
