Ebook scam - feedback exchange.

Beware of this scam. While there are many legitimate eBook sales on eBay, there is a category you should be aware of. The 1 cent - free shipping eBook, template and desktop image scam.
Most of these particular listings are for the purpose of building inflated feedback points. There are even listings that state this indirectly. Many of these books will tell you how to get rich on eBay by reselling them for a mere penny. They will instruct you to create a store with at least 1000 items per listing for digital download. The math does not work out to riches.

The math.

1000 X .01 = 10. That's $10.00 even if you do sell 1000 units.
Let's say you have 50 eBooks listed and sell all 1000 units of each.
1000 X .01 X 50 = 500. That's $500.00. I don't believe anyone could sell 50,000 units in one month.(I could be wrong) $500.00 a month is not going to make you rich. Of course you could charge more for your information, but your sales would be even more limited.

The signs.

Many of these listings will have enticing pictures and headings to draw you in. They include scantily clad women, piles of money and dollar signs. The text will also include words such as: secret, wealth, riches, success and power seller.
Another giveaway is the pre-approved buyer link. Often this will lead you to their store or in some cases to their web-site. An eBay no-no.

The results.

eBay will remove the listing and all feedback exchanged if they find you using these tactics. They will also remove the feedback you left your buyers. eBay may even go so far as to boot you off completely. $500.00 may be worth your time if you make it that far, but that will not create wealth or riches.
Again, there are many legitimate listings out there. Be sure to check the seller's feedback, previous listing and the date they joined. Be sure to check for private listings too, some people have something to hide. Many of the sellers I researched had only belonged to eBay for a month or less.

Feedback is here for a very good reason, it is earned and not bought.
