More changes have come in an effort to control an overwhelming growing ecommercise site called Ebay. Over the past months two new changes have been instituted.
The first is sellers can no longer leave a buyer negative feedback. This includes if you get a fake bidder, non paying bidder, or any other mallicous bidder. This has outraged a lot of sellers. Ebays theory behind this move is that they want buyers to not have to worry about retallatory feedback from angry sellers. They want buyers to accuratly report their experience with out fear of concequences.
Secondly, feedback scores are being calculated differently. Feedback only counts for the past 12 months. This is a great idea since even the best of sellers have circumstances behind their control that can happen.
The other is the percentage is divided over 12 months based on postitives, neutrals (they count against you now) & negatives). This feedback still is not seperated by buying and selling feedback. This creates a kind of deception when you are looking at someones feedback.
For example if you sell a few items your score will naturally be low (unless you have 100%)
You have 50 positive feedbacks and 1 neutral feedback...not bad huh?....
SO 50/ 50+1 =98% barely on the edge powerseller standards.
On the other hand if you I titanium powerseller bring in massive amounts of feedback you score might look like this: (trust me there are 100's like this)
SO 154,099/ 154,099 (positives) + 816 (neutrals) + 214 (negatives)= 99.3%!!!
Interesting huh. So be sure to view a sellers feedback report and DSR (star report) just not their feedback score it could be seriously misleading!
Want to improve your feedback score quickly? Just start selling more (assuming you provide good customer service!) or buy a bunch of cheap things from other sellers to raise your score quickly!
