I would like to start by say that Ebay is the best way to buy and sell. As we do both on this ID. Here I hope will be some helpful tips on selling on Ebay for you to refer to this Guide is more for the Beginners on Ebay.
TIP 1:
Always be truthful with what every you are going to sel on Ebay. You will always have a little problem here or there from buyers but handle these with alittle grace. Our motto is we want to Treat people like we would liked to be treated when we shop. If you are rude or nasty with a response to a buyer or for that matter a winner of your auction this can get ugly quick for you. Some people will be difficult but that is life but you should still deal with it like you met the person for the first time.
TIP 2:
Alway state your policies in your auction. Even if you plan on just selling a few item around the house that you no longer want. Having your policies listed in your auction will cover you when it comes down to it. The major policies you want to include in your list are RETURNS, FEEDBACK, SHIPPING, and PAYMENT. These are a must to include in your auctions so people will know what you are willing to do and willing not to do. These also help if there are disputes filed for items.
TIP 3:
Feedback is an important part for any seller on Ebay as well as buyers. We always leave feedback after the buyer has left Feedback for us for One reason only. This is done so we can help them solve any issues they may have before they leave Feedback. I also state this in our Feedback Policy on my auctions.
TIP 4:
This is up to Each individual seller. We set my selling preferences to no one with a Negative Feedback rating. This Mean that if the person has a -1 feedback rating they cannot bid on any of our auction now people with a 20 feedback rating and have a Negative feedback can bid on the item. The other setting we set is a non payment claim. This means that a person who has a nonpayment claim in the last 30 days cannot bid on the item. We do recommend people use these settings it helps cut down on Nonpayments a great deal.
TIP 5:
This tip is for all sellers. Always start and end your auction at night. the time Frame we use to place auctions up are 7 PM to 10 PM. Now remember Ebay is in the PST zone so figure out where ever you live what the time difference is and place it then. This helps with bidding which can achieve more money for you as the seller. If you end this during the day you are looking at less money in our opinion as well as less bids. Ebay does have the option of creating the bid at a later time for the extra money it is worth it we use it all the time.
We hope this helps a great deal in your selling adventures on Ebay.
