While many flock to ebay in pursuit of the Guitar Hero III, an interesting article surfaces on ebay's Trust & Safety board and what roll Ebay may have in its support for breaking the law?
The articled topic is located at this link:

Ok, here's an edited version of my original post. Apparently the first post gave too many details and was pulled by ebay. This should be in compliance with their rules.
I've been watching auctions for Guitar Hero III for PC for the past few days. I've discovered blatant Shill Bidding by two bidders on these auctions for on seller who list large quantities of these. I will not use names here, but if you are curious you can maybe figure it out.
I've reported this ebay Twice two days ago, yet the seller keeps re-listing the items and the Shill Bidding continues. I suspect this may because this is a high volume seller with over very high feedback.
I'd elaborate, but I'm not allowed.

Since ebay claims shill bidding is a federal crime, how can ebay prevent people from REPORTING THE CRIME? Yet that's what they do by hiding user IDs and censoring reports on the discussion boards. One can only suppose that ebay SUPPORTS breaking the law, and wishes to PREVENT people from reporting crimes. Isn't that interfering with law enforcement, and also a serious crime?
I do not find it interesting that ebay hides this sort of business. After all, ebay has to make a buck or they wouldn't be in business today. There is a hidden message here to all buyers to the Guitar Hero III for PC... if you are interested in getting into the bidding of such an item, you may want to check in with the first poster to confirm that your bid(s) are not being artificially increased because [fact] ebay will not tell you so.
Be careful out there. Know your limit... bid within it.
Kind regards,
blissmeister
