EBAYS' NEW FEEDBACK POLICY SUCKS!
Under Ebay's new feedback policy, the Seller can only leave 'positive' feedback...which is fine if the Buyer is on the up and up but when he/she totally unreasonable or tries to defraud you, there is no way for us (Sellers) to deal with or show other Sellers that this Buyer should be avoided.
Ebay needs to remember, their paychecks come from the Sellers, not the Buyers. The new feedback policy is unfair and unjust to Sellers. It puts the Seller at the mercy of the Buyer and there will be much abuse of this system in the coming days.
I recently had a translation that I did a month ago and the Buyer (1davram1) tried use Paypal to defraud me of the payment. Luckily, I was able to show proof of delivery and Paypal ruled in my favor. But as cowardly revenge, the Buyer waited till the feedback policy changed and left me a negative and then sent me an email making fun of how I could only leave him a positive (under Ebay's new feedback policy).
In protest to this new Ebay feedback system, I will and recommend all Buyers do as well, is only leave Sellers on Ebay a Neutral score rating, for anything you purchase in the future.
If the Seller ask why? Reply with this or something along these lines:
"I'm only giving Sellers a neutral rating from now on under Ebay's new unjust feedback policy system. Perhaps you may want to email them and let them know you are not please with it. Nothing personal. Your product and service were excellent."
Only if enough complaints to Ebay are made, will anything change. Please email rswebhelp @ ebay.com and let them know your feelings.
Oh, and one last thing, a questions for Sellers out there; Under Ebay's new feedback policy, why are you/we leaving feedback for Buyers at all?? Talk about a waste of time...I mean if you can only leave 'positve' feedback, isn't it like telling the dog it's a good dog after you have already giving it the bone? I think you might as well place an advertisement for your site on their feedback profile. A Seller 's feedback (for the Buyer) doesn't seem to have much of a use these days.
