For eBay Store Holders with Listings who have 'Vendio - Gallery &/or 'Auctiva' - Showcase.
This is mainly to do with viewing your Vendio Gallery, and /or Auctiva - Showcase, or should I say the lack of it!
If you have a listing(s) which you have paid or get Vendio's Gallery or the free Auctive - Showcase (which are basically the same) to put either of the above in your listings and when you go to view the listing(s)... it has in a BOX which reads something like: - Cannot View - Please update your Macromedia player 9 etc, please go to the website to download the free Player...
Well I believe that Macromedia was the old company of Adobe so you need to download the latest 'Adobe Flash Player'
For most who have not updated to 'Vista' This is not a problem, Go to the 'Adobe Website' by just clicking the update in the listing, Download & 'Save' the update to your desktop, then make it run by simply clicking it, thus it will then be installed on your computer... But for those running Microsoft 'Vista' This is a different kettle of fish....
To Make Vendio or Auctiva work with Microsoft
'Vista':
First go to the Adobe website, or just click to receive the 'Flash Player' update link in your listing to get there:
Now it took me around 12 goes until I was able to download it onto my desktop, but once it was there,
'DO NOT CLICK ON IT YET! UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THIS! as you will find if you click on it to instal it Microsoft's 'Vista' User Account Control will open a new window which says 'An Unidentified program wants to access your computer' if you click 'ALLOW' anyway you will get a NSIS Message window which says 'The installer you are trying to use is corrupt or incomplete' etc etc etc.... and may have to delete and download again.... So
Once you have downloaded it onto you 'Desktop' Reboot (Re start) your Computer!
Once you have rebooted your computer: You need to run and open this program as 'The Administartor' to instal it correctly, here is how.....
Please Note in 'Vista' with the new Search you can just type in to find what you like eg: type in FlashUti9b and it may find it for you, or start off with C: then System32 etc....
For Vista (32bit) A/ Click Computer on your desktop to open it B/ Navigate and open C:Windows\System32\. C/ Scroll down and open the Macromed directory. D. Open the Flash directory E/ Right-click FlashUtil9b. F/ Select Run as Administrator. G/ When the UAC prompt appears, select Continue. H/. Follow the FLASH PLAYER installation wizard.
For Vista (64 bit):
A/Open Computer.
B/ Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\.
C/ Scroll down and open the Macromed directory.
D/ Open the Flash directory.
E/ Right-click FlashUtil9b.
F/ Select Run as Administrator.
G/ When the UAC prompt appears, select Continue.
H/ Follow the Flash Player installation wizard.
Once the wizard completes, the Flash Player has been properly installed and will now function properly, go back to your listings and you will see they are running correctly...
Hope this helps you and you can leave me a YES this helped....
