One of the easiest ways to get scammed on ebay is by not looking at the shipping cost before bidding. There are a lot of shady sellers who put a $ .99 opening bid then slip in a $ 45 shipping and handling charge on an item worth $10. This is not only a scam, it is also AGAINST EBAY POLICY. So if it happens to you, or if you happen to see it in a listing, REPORT IT TO EBAY !! There is a link at the bottom of every listing where you can report it to ebay. And the seller never knows who reported them. Click on "report this item", click "report listing policy violations", click "excessive shipping and handling", then "click email us" and "send". Ebay will remove the listing, and after 3 violations will remove the seller. So everybody report these sellers and we can get them off Ebay.
