Do you need to find that perfect product to sell on eBay? You need more than one sourcing technique if you want to succeed on eBay. Here are 5 techniques you can use to source your next hot selling product on eBay.

1. Garage and Yard Sales

Pull out your newspaper and flip to the classifieds. If you really want to find some awesome deals at garage and yard sales, you need to make a schedule of each sale and be there as early as possible. It’s important to do your research also, so you can discover which buys will bring in the most profit. This is a great way to get your eBay business off the ground and running.

2. Liquidation Sales

Know of a business going out of business in your area? This is a prime opportunity for you to make some money on eBay. You can find name brand items at up to %70 off the retail price and make a huge profit on eBay. Another great way to source items for eBay is to form a business relationship with a business owner that always has a lot of extra inventory. You can sell these items for them on eBay and charge a commission.

3. Estate Sales

Estate sales are like mega yard sales. You can find a goldmine of vintage items at some of these, which bring in a lot of money on eBay. It may seem overwhelming, but it’ll be worth it when you’re checking your items on eBay and see you’ve hit the jackpot with some vintage books, clothing or furniture.

4. Clearance Stores

Most stores will have an end of season clearance sale. The trick to this technique is to buy out of season and sell the following season. You could buy a whole inventory of summer clothing at the end of summer, then wait till the following summer, and start posting those eBay auctions… and bringing in some big money.

5. Finding a Wholesale Distributor

This is where you’ll take your eBay business to the next level. All of the techniques so far involve a lot of work and a lot of research. Finding a wholesale distributor will give you a guaranteed inventory that you can sell over and over again. This will give you the time you need to market your eBay business and automate the process, giving you the financial freedom you’ve always dreamed of.
