An Easy Way to Make Extra Cash in College as an eBay Trading Assistant
Part 1: General Assessment

Hi,

My name is Mace, and I am a recent college graduate who found a fun
and interesting way to make some spending money plus some as an eBay
Trading Assistant, while I was in college.

First off, I got my start selling some old textbooks from previous
semesters on eBay and eBay's sister site, Half dot com,  I simply wanted a
way to get more money from my used textbooks than the college book
store was going to buy them back for.  Needless to say, after I sold
my old text books for a few hundred dollars (about $200 more than the
book store would have bought them from me) I WAS ADDICTED!!!

After my fruitful experience selling textbooks, I had wondered if
there was anything I wasn't using that was just sitting around at home
or in my dorm room taking up precious space.  I began selling old
video games, and old video game systems, until I had rid myself of all
the unwanted clutter in my life.  For my efforts I made some gas money
and
some extra.  Not a lot, but enough to consider selling more stuff,
which left me with a problem…

What can I sell for money that I haven't already sold?!?!?!?

Well, I started thinking about where can I get some inventory, FOR
CHEAP, and what do I want to sell?

I decided that my local Goodwill and other local Thrift Shops would
suffice for the immediate future of my eBay career.  I suggest these
locations because you can generally find a wide assortment of things
to sell in one place and everything is generally cheap.  Also, get to
know your local Goodwill manager person, and ask about when new
shipments come in, and when they will be running SUPER CHEAP DEALS to
get rid of excess inventory.  I personally found that DVDs and Video
Games from Goodwill and Thrift shops are mostly unplayable and
worthless, however a few vintage items like old NES systems and
Atari's generally turned a profit on eBay.

After a few months of scouring Goodwill locations and thrift shops I
decided that I had had enough of low profit endeavors, and wanted to
move towards less investment of my time and money, and higher returns
(any businessman's dream).  So, from that thought, I landed at
consignment using eBay as my selling tool.
