A nicely taken photo of the item you are selling can do wonders for your ebay auction.

I have always believed freshly cleaned and nicely ironed clothes present much better for an ebay picture.  The trouble is I hate ironing and I hated my iron.  Until know, I recently purchased a Black & Decker Digital Advantage Model 2030.  It has cut my ironing time in half.  I love this iron and look forward to using it often.

Once your clothes are clean and ironed, I would put the iron away to cool in a safe place.  Take the ironing board and position it under some lighting.  (I use the new miser lights on my ceiling fan.)  Or you can even take it outside on a nice day.

Purchase  posterboard or foamboard 1 in black and 1 in white.  I used the foam board.  If it is a lighter item, it tends to show up on the black better.  If it is a darker item, it is easier to see on the white foam board.

Take the foam board and either lay it on top of the ironing board.  I adjust the ironing board to the tallest setting, set the poster board on top.  Lay my item out.  And then stand on a ladder or chair or something to get over the subject of the picture.  Make sure you are not casting a shadow on your item by standing in your light. and use a digital camera to take your picture.  We have had a Sony that does pics and video.  It does just fine.  If you rather not have to stand on a chair or ladder, then just put the foam board on the floor or a coffee table. If it is a nice sunny day out.  Take your things outside.  You can lay your poster on the ground or whereever.  The outside lighting is great for taking nice photos.

Once you upload them to your computer.  Then It is time for editing.  I use the Microsoft Picture Editing Software.  Orient the picture to the correct positions, then I crop to where there is a small black border around my item.  Then I use either AutoCorrect or Enhance Color Feature.  Save the picture into the folder you want it to be placed.  (Here is the biggest time saving tip no one ever told me, but I am going to tell you....When you upload all your pictures to the computer, put them into the folder before you edit them.  This way you are not constantly having to find the right path.  They are already there.

I then use turbo lister and another site for templates.  Hope this helps.  Colleen - ofdivinedesign- Milk & Honey Kids
