Easton Press has done four versions of The Complete Works of Ernest Hemingway. The first version has multicolored repeating patterns from the early 1990s. The second version looks just like the third version but with different leather covers such as pale yellow, pale blue and so forth. I think only one printing of this set was made (about 1000 each) and then it was switched to the third version. The second version is the most rare and hardest to find. The third version has the current artwork done as a three dimensional textured profile. This version came out in the late 1990s. The fourth and current version modified third version artwork into a two dimesional "cheaper" artwork. The fourth version came out in 2006. Evidentally, Easton Press did not want to raise the price, so they cheaped the artwork. In someways the current version is nicer because the artwork can easily be seen whereas the third version was very dark and difficult to visualize.
