Hi folks! Love_edg here again with some helpful tips to making more money as a trading asst or as an ebay dropoff store. As resellers and trading assistants, 99% of us rely on people coming to us with things to sell. Many of you sell anything and that is what hurts you. When a potential client comes to you they will ask to see your current auctions. If they see high end, middle end and junk, they see you as potentially desperate. IE you're selling a diamond ring, a credenza and a used toilet seat. It's ok to turn people away with things! You'll be busy lisitng junk so much that you won't have time to list the good stuff. Remember word of mouth is #1! SO if you are successful selling a toilet seat for $4 then the owner will tell others and they'll bring their toilet seats as well..................................Now back to the 99% thing. I am in NYC, Financial District area. I go to large companies and ask their procurement departments and building services departments about "what happens to all the things that are no longer needed". In my area there are 1000's of large corporations that upgrade to new laptops and stuff every 3 months. Many of them donate for a write off . Little do they know that they would get better returns having someone like me sell them on eBay. I go to the conglamorates and offer my services. I also go to clothing stores, antique shoppes, hardware stores, local vendors and propose my services. It always works! I also barter my services to advertising outlets. I am about to work alongside one of NYC's largest newspapers. I will sell their stuff in return for ad space. I don't charge them a percentage but I do get the fees. I sell their stuff for free basically and get my reselling service exposed.....................Another thing that I do is sell big ticket items. A client of mine gave me an expensive necklace worth a nice penny and he paid me in advance for the fees and the fees to list it on the home page of eBay. Buy having this featured on eBay's home page, it allows people to see it and then they will want to see what else I have for sale. So for $40 extra, I am driving lookers to all the items I sell or auction off. It's at the clients expense not mine and at the same time it is driving people to contact him about the item, people that never knew about him in the first place. So, it works 2 fold! In closing, don't sell anything. I sell from mild to wild, but I won't sell junk. Go to local businesses and introduce yourself. The worst that will happen is they will say NO. Introduce clients to ebay home page feature options to get maximized viewers to your auctions and try to barter with local advertising outlets to get your name out there. Email me through ebay with any questions about running your ebay reselling business. My help is always free to my fellow friends on Ebay. Good luck and keep on biddin..............
