I am a fairly new member to ebay, and the first thing that has popped out at me is that sellers make tons of excuses or just happen to get sick or are on vacation when it is time to ship an item. I have noticed more excuses from the smaller sellers rather than the power sellers. About a year ago I bought something on ebay (Marshall tsl jcm2000) and the seller wouldn't respond to my emails and two weeks later he replied that he had been "sick" and had been stuck in his house. I had pretty much lost my patience because if you are in your house, how hard would it be even if you are sick to go on your computer and check your emails. It took over a month for me to get what I bought and I got another excuse from the same buyer that said he bought the wrong sized box for the item and that the box store was to far from his house to go back to soon, so I was mad. And after all the trouble the guy forgot to put in the power cord and the footswitch thingy. Good times. =D
Also I bought a guitar(American Fender Strat) and I got the product and it didn't work at all. I emailed the seller and he was like, "What. how could that be?" "I guess I should have played the guitar and made sure it worked before I sold it..." The funny thing is that in the product description it said that he had played the guitar and he said it played like a dream. Funny ehh...
Recently I bought an item (boss mt-2 metal zone) and the seller was two weeks late in shipping after he sent me an email that said he would promise to send the item the next morning, which turned into the next week. Excuses...
So I guess what I am saying is that people use excuses to make things easier on their lives. There isn't really anything buyers can do on ebay when people make excuses, or they might even be telling the truth. So yeah ebay is still the greatest though. I wish everyone would take advantage of it.
