I just built a new system using Evga 680i Motherboard SLI, CPU E6850 3.0 Ghz, Ram 4 GB's Patriot Extreme SLI 4-4-4-12 DDR2 800Mhz, VGA Dual Evga Geforce 7800GTX 256MB SLI pci-e, Creative X-FI sound card, Seagate "ES" 32MB Cache 500GB HD's Raid 0, Thermaltake Tsunami Dream case (all aluminum front), HD's are inside Thermaltake Hardcano clamshell cooler's, CPU cooler is the massive Gemin II with dual 120mm fans Awesome cooler if your case has enough room. Plextor SATA DVD Burner 8mb cache, PSU 600w Ultra. This is the best problem free system I have ever put together.

Evga 680i is the best motherboard made. I heard the Evga 780i is better but I don't have any experience with one. The 780i allows 2.0 VGA's. You can put 2.0 VGA's in the 680i but you don't get the full specs. If you are using 7800 graphics cards this 680i board is for you. If you are using 8800 graphics cards you want the 780i  board.

Patriot Extreme EPP SLI Memory is highly overclockable. It comes with thick high quality heat spreaders. I have mine overclocked running at 1066MHz with no problems. Make sure it is 4-4-4-12 timing. Or its not considered high performance.

Dual Evga Nvidia GeForce 7800GTX SLI Graphic Cards.  Stability is very high on my list. Freezing and crashing because you want high performance is not worth the frustration. These cards are not the fastest but they are extremley stable.

I would stay away from P35 MB with there crossfire. ATI Crossfire is better with AMD CPU's. If you like Pentium Processors or Nvidia stay away from anything ATI. (Crossfire) Check for yourself go to ATI's website and notice AMD is listed as well.

I also have had problems with Asus MB's and ATI Graphic cards. In fact I have had nothing but problems with ATI VGA's

I have never owned an AMD CPU nor do I intend to ever own anything AMD. (Second Rate)

Asus overclocking works for few weeks and needs to be played with or it becomes unstable.  You have to reset the Overclocking about once a month to keep it stable. I was hardcore Asus until I found EVGA Motherboards I will never go back. EVGA is the Best.

I have found that harddrives with one year warranties won't last. I now only buy HD's with a 5 year warranty. The best I have found is Seagate ES models. I used there warranty replacement service and had my replacement drive in 3 weeks.

I was a hardcore Western Digital until I lost 2 drives in one month. The one with a warranty took over 2 months and 10 Emails to get my replacement. I had to prove through certified delivery confirmation that they had my drive. It was like trying to get a rebate. When the drive finally arrived it broke when I tried to hook up the Sata plug. The Sata holder broke off the drive before I could even test it. WD will not take it back now it has cosmetic problems. I think the port was held on by bubble gum. I no longer buy Western Digital. Seagate Dominates the HD market.

I don't like ATI's Graphic Cards at all. Performance is weak. Compatibility with Pentium . I have had 2 Asus MB's that wouldn't even accept ATI VGA's. There Catalyst Software is one problem after another. Catalyst is a joke after you get there 10 updates it still has freezing problems.

I would recommend Pentium processor's with Nvidia VGA's. Evga is Excellent with compatibility and there warranty is the easiest and best to deal with if there is a problem.  Since I switched to EVGA MB and EVGA VGA's my PC has been problem free.

I see 2 people didnt not like my review probably because there are ATI People. AMD and ATI used to be gamers choice. But no longer Pentium and Nvidia now dominate the market. AMD and ATI cannot compete no longer there second rate. And don't mix the 2 if you have a ATI board dont use Pentium or Nvidia VGA's You will only get frustrated with compatibility.

ATI boards use ATI graphics on board or call it crossfire. Take my advice use only ATI with AMD..Or Pentium with Nvidia dont mix the two you will have stability issues.

Stay away from TSST/Samsung optical drives alot of DVD media wont burn in these players. And there website for drivers is outdated. I bought a 1 year old drive and there website had already stopped with any technical help. Said it was too old after one year.

Plextor or Pioneer optical drives are the most user friendly and compatible with all most all DVD media, and don't need patches to work.
