THE UNITED STATES TOP SELLING CANISTER VACUUM

The Eureka Mighty Mite or also known as the Sanitaire canister, or Eureka Boss canister, is the top selling vacuum in the United States, and Canada.

For over 20 Years Eureka has been making the compact canister vacuum. The first models are also known as Eureka MM Style C. These have a different bag to all the other Mighty Mites, If you have one of these older models ensure you buy bags that say Type C or style C

The Mighty Mite has more power than most models in its class, it has a large bag and comes with good tools, Most models have been 7-9 amp, However Eureka now make a Yellow 12 amp model, Great machine but it overheats and cuts out. They have a huge problem with these new models, They have great sucken, but leave it on for more than 10 minutes and it will get hot and cut out. If you want one buy the smaller amp model, They still make one under the Sanitaire name that comes with a 9 amp motor. The wheels break off on all models but can be replaced, so can the hoses, and motor, but they are work horses, and used by most cleaning companies across The U.S such as Molly Maid. Like I said above you may have a Type C, This could be 20 years old, But it will still work, they just keep gong. The other advantage is that it is possible to buy a Hepa filter to clip on the back of your vacuum. So if you or a memebr of your family develop an allergy, You do not have to go out and buy a new Over priced vacuum cleaner.

Oreck has the 2nd best selling canister, That model is known as the Buster B, or BB for short. (Also known as the Oreck Housekeeper.)David Oreck shows it lifting a Bowling ball. However dont be fooled, The machine is very unreliable and overheats. Oreck now also sell the Douglas Readivac, with Oreck's sticker stuck on the side, Oreck call it the Oreck Ironman. This model is far superior to the original Oreck vac (BB), and if you want to save over $150, Buy the Douglas Readivac, Its the same machine.
