ELECTROPLATING

The Electroplating kits sold on ebay that use DC with a transformer, a wand, a alligator clip and desired solution DO NOT WORK AS EASILY AS CLAIMED. I purchased a complete set of all metal electroplating kits and found the process time consuming with less than desired results. I am a Mechanical Engineer and I do not recommend these kits!

The problems are:

• The parts need to be Super Clean

• Certain metals need an electroplate of another metal first

• The Wand gets dirty fast

• The Wand Corrodes

• The plating is a slow process.

• The kits are too expensive

• The solution has a Expirery date!

A BETTER SOLUTION IS A PROFESSIONAL KIT OR BUILD YOUR OWN WITH A BOOK AND BUY THE SOLUTIONS ONLINE OR EBAY.
