Welcome to ebay -- and as you shop for clothes, shoes, books, Cd's, VHS, DVD's, beauty products you will come across slang and wonder-- what do they mean?
here are some I've come across--- and feel free to e mail me with one's you discover or use and I'll add them
NIB- New in Box
NIP New in Plastic
NWB new with box ( some sellers use this as new without box-- so carefully read listing)
NWOB New without Box
NWT New With Tags
NWOT New without tags
NR no reserve- means whoever the highest bidder is-- they will win/buy the item
Sealed- there is either an exterior seal on the product- or in some cases with beauty products- interior- in that the seal will be under the cap- or top of the product
Factory sealed-different sellers use this phrase in various ways- with some it's an exterior - or interior seal-or can mean the factory closed the product(s) ie it's "sealed" or "closed" by the manufacturer-- but there is no physical( ie plastic encasement of some kind) seal-- again any question on this best to ask your seller.-
For Cd's DVD's VHS, factory seal-or shrink wrap means products is STILL in original shrink wrap-- again read the listing . Some sellers are in the bad habit of buying used products and shrink wrapping them themself and then passing items off as "sealed"-- again if you're not sure--ask--also look at your sellers feedback-- -- read some of their feedback--and again ask.
New- be careful- some sellers call an item new- in that its pretty new-- they used it once etc..ask- or read the listing and see what's going on. Is it new sealed in plastic? or the original package? If its not clear- ask!
Mint-- pretty close to new
Gently used-- used but still in very good wearable condition
EUC Excellent used condition-- pretty much the same as gently used
Happy shopping- and remember-- if you're ever unclear about what the seller means- ASK! and best to ask BEFORE you bid.
