I purchased a hot tub/spa from Steve Lanni- FACTORY DIRECT SPAS and spent well over $5000 on a product that I have never received. There have been COUNTLESS victims of this now known scam artist. I recently learned that Ebay WAS informed of prior mis-deeds of STEVE LANNI and obviously turned a blind eye and a deaf ear while he continued to bilk THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS from TRUSTING EBAYERS like myself. At what point does Ebay assume any role in helping its faithful users who have made A LOT OF MONEY for the "powers that be" known as EBAY? There is Ebay University, Ebay this and that, but NOTHING it seems for a MAJOR scandal such as the one that Steve Lanni was allowed to continue. I can't get anyone from Ebay to even TALK to me...yet I do get a nice little printable certificate because I have 500 pos. feedback! Go figure! I'd RATHER have a HUMAN BEING WITH SOME CLOUT AT LEAST LISTEN TO THE TERRIBLE MESS THAT STEVE LANNI HAS PLACED A LOT OF FAITHFUL EBAYERS IN! PLEASE! COULD "SOMEONE"..."ANYONE" with ANY AUTHORITY... AT THE VERY LEAST... DISCUSS THIS WITH ME? I have put money in YOUR pockets! The LEAST you can do is listen to those of us who were quite literally robbed via the Ebay site! I love doing business on Ebay. But I am deeply disappointed in the total lack of interest on the part of the Ebay higher ups when something as monumental as STEVE LANNI-FACTORY DIRECT SPAS rip-off scheme has gone to the proportions it has and clearly Ebay could care less! Makes me question if you really care about your "EBAY COMMUNITY" as you say you do! MEG....GIVE ME A CALL!!! I don't think you would like it if this happened to you!!! WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT IN THIS! PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT www.steve-lanni.com and see for yourselves all the trusting Ebayers that this thief stole hard earned money from! WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT EBAY! We certainly have given you OUR support! I would love to know you are listening! I am a MEMBER OF THE EBAY COMMUNITY AND I NEED YOUR HELP! UPDATE: As of today, Dec. 2, 2005, I have yet to hear a peep from anyone associated with Ebay. I have yet to collect a dime from Steve Lanni and people are STILL coming out of the woodwork to say that Steve Lanni took their money and they never received a spa or hot tub. The police department in Houston has essentially done nothing and this guy has gotten away with thousands upon thousands of dollars. (In the mean time, according HIS website, he has found religion and I guess at this point, he'll work it out with God.) He is still trying to pull his scam under different names, so, be very mindful of who you're looking at buying a spa from. UPDATE: As of today, Dec. 11, 2006, I still have not spoken with anyone from Ebay regarding this issue. It is a shame that they have not allowed themselves to take a proactive position in this ordeal. I have a spa cover that I paid for twice, no spa and am still out of the money that was given to Steve Lanni. I am in hopes that he is taking steps to correct all of this and allow this situation to be resolved satifactorily for all involved. More than anything, however, I am still so disappointed that Ebay hasn't stepped up to the plate. Too many people put too much money into the Ebay community and make it work. When something goes wrong, the Ebay "powers that be" should be there for us for assistance. I know I have cut my Ebay usaage back incredibly to what I have spent in previous years. I'm spending my money where it seems to be appreciated.
