SECRETS OF THE POPULAR EBAY 'MAKE A MILLION' ON EBAY EBOOKS...EXPOSED.

Free.

A lot of info here - probably take you about 7-8 minutes to read...take the time, you'll be happy you did.

Preface

Let me start this guide by stating that, at the time of the creation of the eBay User's Guide,  I am an eBay Gold Power Seller. That means I generate at least $10,000 a month is sales. Am I tooting my own horn? Not really, I just wanted you to know from which perspective I am writing this guide for you. My point is, I know what I am talking about. Again, this might sound like I am bragging, but if you base your decisions to start an eBay small business on this guide, and not these ridiculous 'eBay' RETIRE EARLY MAKE MILLIONS IN ONE YEAR' eBooks for sale on eBay, you will be much better off. You can either buy their hype, or take my advice to heart. The advice I give here is going to be precise, and to the point.

In the Beginning....

First off, and most importantly, if you are going to sell items on eBay, make sure that the items you are dealing with fall under one of the following categories, else you are setting yourself up for failure.

Do what You Know:

Sell items that you are very familiar with. Star Wars collectibles? Antique Ship Clocks? Whatever it is that you know something about or collect, if you are going to deal/sell something on eBay to generate revenue, make is something you know a lot about.

Do What You Love and You Will Never Work a Day in Your Life:

Sell items on eBay that you love. Play a musical instrument? Sell/resell that instrument, or get involved in selling music-related items. If you sell items you have no inherit interest in, you won't be selling that item long. Even if it is a money maker, your disinterest will get you in the end...I speak from experience. Sell those things you have interest in - those things you have passion in. Motorcycle? Sell the accessories. You get the idea.

One In A Million Kid:

It is tricky, but it is possible to find those items that are being searched for, but not being sold on eBay. There are a couple of ways of doing this. Look at eBay's Want It Now section to see what it is people are looking for but not finding on eBay. The Want It Now section is found here:

http://pages.ebay.com/wantitnow/about.html

You will have to compare what you find with the number of those items found in previously ended auctions. You can do this by doing an advanced search of an item Keyword, like "Vintage GI Joe". It takes some homework, but if you can find those items being searched for but not sold, you could clean up. I've don it before, and you might have a window of about 2 months before others see the items selling, and catch on. 'Make Hay when The Sun Shines' as they say.

You can also check eBay Pulse to see the top searched items - remember, these are the top searched items, not the top sold items:

if you are an Artist or Artisan, you should consider posting your work on eBay. There are many successful artists selling their work, and having a lot of success at it. There is a category dedicated to self promoting artists that eBay has set aside for you. Collectors will search this category for that special piece of artwork.

This is the Start of Something Big...

If you sell in bulk on eBay, and will be using vendors, you do need a TAX ID. Their application will require it. Guess what? You can obtain one online through through most states websites. Just go to your state's IRS website, and look at obtaining a "reseller's Tax ID". I did mine in the state of Minnesota, and took me about 5 minutes once I found the site. It literally takes that long to get started. Just set yourself up as a Sole Proprietor when you first get started until you get the feel of things. It is then fairly easy to get incorporated, or to become an LLC. Most states offer free guides on all of this - Minnesota's was very helpful.

If you are going to buy items on eBay, only to resell for profit, you walk a fine line when it comes to claiming that income on your taxes. This is an area still under a lot of debate. To be honest, if you do it as a hobby then consider it as just that. If you create a TAX ID, you have just put yourself in the 'revenue stream' and you really have to claim that income. I keep a simple Excel Spreadsheet - took about 2 hours to set that up for myself.

The Hype of the Popular SCAM eBooks on eBay...

"I paid for my Car with this eBay Business"..."I vacation in Europe with my eBay business profits". Lines like this coupled with pictures of half naked women, or stock pictures of sports cars...seen them all. Read them all. People...they are ALL SCAMS...ALL of them. I won't waste your time going into what they say to do because it is all dis-information. It is the same 3 or 4 scams re-packaged for them to take your money. Do yourself the favor, use the guidelines above and save yourself the frustration of sifting through these worthless eBay eBook scams.

The Bottom Line

I am absolutely no different than you. Joe Lunchbox from middle America. I have an average IQ, I do not possess great analytical skills. What I do possess is desire, and a bit of foundational knowledge. These skill sets are all you need, my friend. eBay is a gold mine..seriously. Whatever it is you are passionate about...take it to eBay, just like in life. If you are into Vintage T-shirts, hit the Thrift Stores, buy them up, and sell them on eBay. Make some money, get a feel for it. When you want to start making better money, get your Tax ID, find a decent distributor or contact in the resale clothing business, and start planning your eBay business model. It is not rocket science, and if the items you are selling are something you love - it all comes naturally.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. I would love to help get you started. eBay is massive, and there is plenty of room for everyone to get a piece of pie, and live a little of the American Cream.

Remember, take a second to click the "Yes" button if you took even one pearl of wisdon of information from this Guide. Your feedback keeps me inspired to keep these guides coming to everyone to help them along on their eBay journey.

Safe buying everyone.
