The new unpleasant gift has been prepared to international sellers, especially book and heavy stuff sellers.
eBay wants to limit postage charges as to fit the USPS first class rate or so...
Imagine me, who sells books at postage of $17.- per Kg internationally...
I will have to add $13.- on the book price + $1.- to cover eBay charged extra % of the listing fees.
This all will poison the interest from bidders since I will be no longer able to regulate myself combined postage
discounts, as will not be able to go on sales under the final sales price, buyers will also suffer from this
Citation of eBay notice issued today:
"Starting in October (2008), the maximum shipping cost in this category will be $4.00. You'll be asked to enter a shipping cost less than or equal to this cost for the first U.S. flat rate shipping service."
I start thinking it is the latest moment to invent the Government of eBay users to settle these questions by the eBay members elections
but this idea of mine sounds like utopia.
Thou I think eBay users community is able to buy eBay company itself and settle the virtual state of eBayland
