I like my Dyson vacuum, I bought it in 2003 and it is still going strong, mine is the yellow one.  After spending over 200.00 the previous year with ones that just would not pick up,  I had enough, I went to Sears, I had never heard of Dyson before, I think this is when the product was just getting introduced, it cost me maybe 425.00, seemed high but if it did the job I'd be happy, I have 3 dogs.

Mine does not have any cracks in the plastic its 5 yrs old now, i think it is made of Lexan (GE) I could be wrong here.

One time I had something stuck in the roller, I removed the roller and could not get it back in, I called Dyson and the lady was happy to help me.

I like how you can just empty the dust into the trash, there will always be that dust that comes into the air when you empty it or even with a bag vacuum. (Maybe the new bag ones are better)

I also like that the handle and attachment hose are all in one and the attachments fit snugly onto the sides of the vacuum.

I also bought the extra warranty, if I had to buy another vacuum it would be a Dyson. So glad someone finally made one that really picks up.
