I have been owner of the Dyson DC 14 vacuum upright for a year, and I am a very happy camper.  :)  It is so easy to operate!  Push one button and the whole see-thru tank unfastens, walk to waste basket, push one button Voila!  It is empty.  It has strong sucking power.  With one turn of a wheel, the brushes stop so I can vacuum the vinyl floors.  With one button the hose moves to reach steps, window sills, draperies.   And it has a long cord, so I don't have to re-plug it more than once while cleaning the house.  It is fun to watch the dirt, gravel, and dust fill up in the tank.  Easy to carry.
