How to install linux without losing your winXP drive

Run System Clean and Defragmentor

Back up winXP to external drive with 'Gparted Live!' cd-r (optional)

Prepare the drives free space

Partition drive and install Linux with the 'Ubuntu Live!' cd

Start Linux and test basic programs - office, internet, email, phone

Start winXP and finish dual boot installation.
