I paid for a list of wholesalers through an eBay auction and found DOBA on the list. I signed up for the 7 day free trail, a saleman called me the next day and convienced me that I needed the tools, only avalible with a full subcription, to find the best items to sell, I only agreed to a 1 month subscription(thank God) as this was a waste of $65.00.

The items I looked at included clothing and electronics. The clothing was priced higher than any of the same items were selling for on eBay(by $10-$15), I found a few who must have gotten theirs from DOBA as they were priced $10 to $15 higher than all other listings but naturally not selling. The electronics items I found on the manufacturers web sites at about the same or even lower prices than DOBA's wholesale price. Some items, Canon printers and digital cameras, had an MSRP which didn't match the MSRP listed on DOBA's website (off by over $100).

I listed a gps unit I found which looked like I could make 7 or 8 dollars on and was asked by a buyer if it came with a windshield mount. I contacted DOBA on 11/19/06 with the question and was told they would send an inquiry to the supplier. As of today, 11/27/06 I still havn't recieved an answer, I advised the prospective buyer to look elsewhere. The folowing day, 11/20/06, the gps unit sold to a different buyer and was to ship 2-3 days after I paid for it, item was paid for same day, 11/20. I understand that Thanksgiving feel on the 23rd so I expected shippment Friday the 24th. As of today, 11/27/06, at 11:00am cst, the item still hasn't shipped. The support at DOBA.com is sending an iquiry to the supplier (see above for results of last inquiry). In the mean time I have a customer who wants to know when his gps unit will be arriving.

If you are thinking about getting involved with a company who dropships, please be careful. If they don't have a free trail period, don't fall for it. If they do, use the full period to fully research the site, wholesale prices, dropshipping fees, shipping fees (which are different from dropshipping fees). Go to manufatures we-sites to verify MSRP's. Ask questions to suppliers to determine if you can get answers. Just beware.

I hope this helps others avoid the mistake I made. Check everything out before getting involved.

Just to be fair I am updating the statues of the gps unit mentioned above. I receiced a tracking # at 12:13 pm cst 11/27/06, so hopfully it will ship this afternoon.
