However, the beautiful coral jewelry you can buy comes at an environmental cost. Some coral is considered a semi-precious substance, but it's even more precious in its natural habitat!!! Coral reefs and the marine environment are currently under siege. Fisheries management has proven difficult in the U.S., let alone in countries with a low capacity and few resources.

Please don’t purchase any coral products including coral jewelry, coral sculptures, and coral calcium diet supplements. If we don't help them, they'll be lost to us...forever.
