Okay on some games or items with a UPC Code some of the averages hold true some don't.
I will give you an example to go by. I was the only person in the whole Unied States that had a certain game. I started it @ 14.99. I couldn't believe after 7 days it got up to $50.
Make a sad story short they didn't pay. Then people who are watching , next thing you know all of a sudden 6 people list the game at that price $49.99. Some with best offers or some don't sell in the time frame. So what do you think happens to the average you got it just went to $25 in a week time after.

Also you have to take into account know if a person before you started a game worth only $3.00 but instead of charging you to ship. Listed it @ 7.99 to ship free & reverse pschyology worked.
Well that just raised the average of the game. If people use the prefill info or not. Which caterogy they put there item in. There is all kinds of tricks that you can do & mistakes you can find.

Then you also have to take into account if your like me. I want to see the item & a good photo.
Now some high volume sellers don't have the time want you to trust them & you should. Then there are new ebay members that people are worried about not getting the item so it doesn't sell.

If a seller only ships to the United States. Someone wanted it Canada couldn't buy or bid. That drops the average to also time that they have it listed for 3,5, or 7 days even 1 or 10.

Also eBay is half skill & half luck I can't believe what i have gotten for some items. It was just timing & luck. 2 people out there in this small world after all. wanted it more then the other for a reason.

So don't overprice yourself , don't under price yourself either I have had the same game go for $5 1 week & then $12 the next.
Watch your prefill info you can change to better list your items.
I have found Wrestling DVDs Pay-Per-Views using the UPC as action,adventure, sports 7 fitness, & not like they should be Sports with a sub-genre of wrestling.
Same goes with CDs like Hip-Hop under R&B.
Video games such as Sports be under other caterogy.
I change to Sports sub-genre Baseball,football,basketball, & etc...
So it pays to look to see my the average price to search completed listings. You never know then also your reputation does play a big factor too.
