Don't be mislead! If it sounds too good to be true IT IS!
A lot of "shady characters are now selling CHI products. Lets face it, this stuff is expensive. That being said, it is worth every penny. Any hair care professional will tell you that. CHI products, especially Silk Infusion are VERY popular. They have earned that popularity by making a great product that does wonders for your hair. But, that popularity makes it an easy target for "not so honest sellers"
I have been seeing a lot of very misleading ads, with fantastically low prices for this item. Here's a rule for you.....There is no secret way to get these items for free....
Here are a couple of examples of titles I've seen that are clearly misleading.
"4 bottles of CHI Silk infusion" price .01 shipping 3.95
"CHI SILK INFUSION & CERAMIC FLAT IRON" price .01 shipping 14.95
The first example is someone selling "Free sample" bottles that are intended for salons to be given to customers. They are .5oz that's 1/2 of 1 oz bottles. All 4 will be enough to treat your hair once, if you have fairly short hair. If you have long hair you won't get enough product to do it right.
The second is someone selling the same .5oz bottle with a cheap flat iron they probably got at the local dollar store. They use the CHI name to make you think your bidding on a CHI flat iron, when in fact the only thing CHI is that free sample.
Being in the salon business gives me access to these products at wholesale prices. I'm telling you now that "I" can't buy a professional CHI ceramic flat iron for less than 75.00. How do you think these people are selling them for half that price? It's simple - they aren't! Unless they are stealing them or getting from somewhere other than Farouk.
Silk Infusion wholesale price is around 20.00 for a 12oz bottle. Anyone selling it for less than that is either losing money on each transaction, or they are finding some "other way" to get it cheap.
Expect to pay a fair price for a great product. Even on Ebay! If you think you will get something for nothing, even on Ebay, nothing is what you'll get.
Check out your seller before you buy. READ FEEDBACK. If their ad says things like "serious bidders only" or "read this ad and make sure this is what you want" or "this is an auction NO RETURNS" or "we don't moniter our e-mail close enough to answer all questions" you should avoid these items.
Quality items sell themselves, and honest sellers don't need to make it sound better than it is. If you can't wait for an answer to your question. YOU are in to much of a hurry, and you will get ripped off.
Take your time, check out your seller, pay a fair price and you will never feel ripped off.
