Over the years of owning a store & traveling to tradeshows to buy merchandise we have learned a few tricks on how to avoid getting taken to the cleaners when it comes to buying designer clothing online.  It is very frustrating that a legitimate seller spend thousands of dollars traveling to the major apparel shows and hunting down the best deals only to get undercut by some crook selling cheap fakes at half the price.

Fashion-Rx is the largest seller Bebe and Arden B.clothing on eBay so we see a lot of junk out there.  Bebe and Arden B can only be purchased from the retail stores (yes we shop the sales just like you -- only we shop 6 or 7 stores at a time).  Most Bebe is going to hae the original store tags -- occasionally one will get torn off or lost, but a reputable seller will have tags 99% of the time.  I'm sure you know the classic Bebe tag with perferated sections below -- that's the only one they ever use.

Beware of sellers that only use stock photos -- sure a stock photo with professional models look great, but you also want to see photos of the actual item.  Many counterfit items mimic an actual style of a real item and the stock photo allows them to not show you how cheaply made the fake item actually looks.

At Fashion-Rx we actually stopped selling Coach handbags because it was too hard to compete with the counterfit bags -- and this is true for many highend designer bags.  We also sell very little denim (except for Bebe when we can get it) because the good denim is conterfitted so often, it makes it hard for a legitimat seller to compete.  If your buying designer denim, check for authenticity guides on your item before buying so you can be an informed consumer.  If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is.
