First please look at my Ebay Store

where I will be posting a lot of shoes for sale over this Thanksgiving weekend.
This is not something I usually sell, but I got an especially good deal on them..
and even when I make a small profit, you will still be getting a phenomenal deal,
at least compared to Zappo's (a well-known online deep discount shoe retailer) and the like.
These will be listed in Buy It Now format..with best offer.
I am not absolutely sure about the prices, so feel free to make an offer--but try to make it fair. My prices
should be the best on the internet by far already..but sometimes it just feels good to make an offer for 1 or 2 dollars
less. We Americans just do not like to haggle in pricing, but do you know, even
some chain retailers and the like are actually doing this now. Ask for the manager.
Maybe not this coming Friday, but after, if retail prices go way back up, you might be
able to finagle a discount. Of course, this is when prices are too high..and mine are not.
Okay now on to shoes and feet.
I used to have really terrible problems with my feet. As a side effect of a bone-strengthening I actually take to help kill cancer cells, I no longer have such problems. However, every time I went to a shoe store, I found few knowledgeable salespeople..mostly they just do not get paid that much, and I never shop at Nordstrom's or the like.
There are a very few brands that I find that are much superior to others, as far as foot care. I also wear orthotics in my shoes, but they are very old now.
My late father, a pathologist, actually sold these orthotics at cost because he believed in them, but they were very expensive. Perhaps you might have seen him in late night tv commercials at one time "Hello, I am a doctor" (yeah, but not a foot doctor)..and then he would go on about telling about the wonder of the Allzner (don't remember the spelling), which were really expensive, even at cost. I think the cost was 125 dollars and the retail price, which was only available from some place in Texas at the time was 250 dollars or something. Outrageous..but then again..this might be 2 visits to the
podiatrist. Some people just swore by them..that is why my father would sell them at cost. Another store now has the rights to these orthotics, but you can buy very similar brands much more cheaply that work just as well.
At any rate, what I have found in sneakers/running shoes/tennis shoes/basketball shoes are a very few brands that are really much superior to the others.
I generally tend to buy New Balance..their price is good, as they are not paying superstar money to pro athletes, and believe it or not, a lot of them are actually still made in America. The company's rule is if the shoe is made 75% with American parts, then they put on the shoe "made in America".
I really like all this, and they are also one of the shoes that it comes available in sizes up to EEEE. Since this is what my son wears (12 4E since 8th grade) , this is what I buy him for a school and sports shoe. I really am not making a political statement, but if and when you can buy something still made in America of good quality, it feels good to do..
Reebook shoes are another one I also buy..I especially like the high top basketball shoes, and sometimes you can find them at a good price but this is not always possible. I also like most other Reebok shoes, but I like the high top basketball shoes best of all, but these can just be too expensive.
I usually will not pay more than 59.99 for a pair of shoes..because of my feet and heavy step I tend to wear them out relatively quickly.
I never found more expensive shoes last much longer..at least for me.
At one time I would buy 4 pairs of shoes at a time and rotate them. I am unable to spend that much money at a time right now. However, if you can afford it, I do believe that it is good to rotate shoes. Of course, if you have only one pair of orthotics, as I do, you have to take them out and put them in the shoe of the day. My sister actually has a different pair of orthotics for all the sports shoes she owns. One problem with that is you might throw away the shoe and forget about the orthotics.
Finally, I do find Nike a good shoe, however maybe I cannot post this, but do an internet search and find where they actually make them and what the factory workers are paid. I will not say any more than this. Also, they pay a lot of money to athletes. I find this not so great when some shoe workers are not paid very well. I do not buy Nike shoes anymore, for this reason actually.
Finally, a little known fact is that TurnTec shoes was started by the chief shoe engineer previously at New Balance. These shoes can be extremely cheap..discounted to 10 dollars.. and sometimes even these are comfortable to wear and last, believe it or not. Most people assume very inexpensive shoes are always poor and just avoid them. I only know about TurnTech, how they fit, how comfortable some of them are, and how well they last.
I actually tend to wear TurnTech shoes when I walk my dogs at the beach..since they do not cost all that much to replace, and I am just not a big fan of sandals.
Finally, I do know women who absolutely swear by the comfort and fit of Easy Spirit shoes. I bought these myself once, and they were pretty good,
but they are not as easy to find as the others, at least for men.
Again, I have NewBalance, EasySpirt, Reebok, and Rockport shoes for sale right now in my Ebay store.
Generally my prices are the cheapest on the internet..when you include shipping that I charge for almost anything that I sell, which
will now, at least briefly include shoes until they are gone.
Sometimes, honestly, you might find a "slightly used" shoe on Ebay for less. I have real reservations about this because
if you were to pick something up it might never go away. Believe me, I do know what I am talking about, as I have been
completely unable to get rid of a foot fungus for 6 years now. The problem is I now have a very depressed immune system
and the medication I take for cancer (multiple myeloma--a cancer of the immune system/bone marrow) makes this problem even worse.
I got this from fungus from somewhere..who knows. I have bought lots of used things in my life..but I might be hesitant to buy used shoed.
I generally do not sell shoes..I just got a good deal on these at a store going out of business locally..I will make a small profit on each one,
but still keep my prices relatively low--still giving YOU the Ebay customer the best prices on the internet. .
You can look at my feedback.. one neutral complaint in all the things I sold..and really that person was not only refunded his money before
I knew what happened to his book..and I even gave him extra money. He was still unhappy. 3 weeks later I received the book back from Germany.
I did not fill out one line of the address. He accused me of not sending him the book. I even sent him the a scan of the postage and the custom's form i filled out. He was just not nice about it, so I could not satisfy him. I have had a few other problems, and I always have resolved them to the
ultimate satisfaction of the customer, even if it costs me money. My life will be too short not to treat people fairly, as I want to be treated.
If you look deeply in my feedback, you will see I will take care of any problems.
I have not listed the shoes the day before Thanksgiving but will do so Thanksgiving day or sometime over the weekend
I am not sure what my policy on shoes will be. I tend to trust Ebay buyers, which has always worked for me very well.
Outside of Ebay on the internet, unfortunately, this can be an absolute disaster..believe me..I know.
