This might be hard for people who dont have any experience with computors but I have had only little experience and I was able to fix my macbook... At ifixit.com and powerbookmedic.com there are free guides on how to fix your macbooks, ipods and iphones... ITS GREAT... I used ifixit but you could also use powerbookmedic. They give you step by step instructions and pictures of them fixing it so that you can too. You can buy the parts from their websites or just copy and paste that part that you need and search for it on ebay... I got a great deal by buying the part on ebay. SO...
in the end I spent 3 hours and 200 dollars to fix my macbook instead of paying 800~900 dollars at the repair shop!
I also found their section for ipods and I really want to replace the scratched faceplates on my ipods so im looking forward to that... unless i sell them on ebay first... :)
