Free BSD is available for free. http://www.freebsd.org
If you can download an ISO and burn it to a CD Rom than you have a completely free unix like operating system. Also check out PC BSD which is basically the same except it is more PC friendly and comes with a built in desktop.
If you are going to run a server, than freeBSD is the way to go. But again it's free, no need to bid here.
